Joshua R. Kahn

Joshua R. Kahn is a graduate of the Syracuse University School of Information Studies where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Management and Technology. After receiving his Bachelor of Science, Mr. Kahn returned to Syracuse University where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the College of Law. Mr. Kahn was then admitted to the New York State Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Since graduating from law school and being admitted to the New York State Bar, Mr. Kahn has spent four years successfully prosecuting crimes while serving the people of Nassau County and the Honorable Kathleen M. Rice as an Assistant District Attorney for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. During his time in the DA’s office, Mr. Kahn was assigned to the District Court Trial Bureau, the Grand Jury Bureau, and the County Court Trial Bureau. Mr. Kahn was also the Unit Chief of the Mental Hygiene Unit where he oversaw other attorneys, and all cases in Nassau County where a defendant pled not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect. Mr. Kahn handled thousands of misdemeanor cases, presented countless cases to the Grand Jury, and successfully prosecuted and tried crimes ranging from minor infractions to serious violent felonies.

Since leaving the Nassau County District Attorney's office, Mr. Kahn has formed the Law Offices of Joshua R. Kahn, P.C. a general practice law firm focusing on criminal defense and personal injury litigation, and he has brought his advocacy skills and passion for litigation to the firm.
