Scott E. Agulnick
Scott E. Agulnick is a second-generation litigator and criminal defense attorney. His education and career path has successfully been aimed at becoming one of New York's top courtroom attorneys. Immediately after receiving his BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Scott successfully completed an internship at the Kings County District Attorney’s office.
While attending Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan, Scott received yet another highly sought internship at the Kings County District Attorney's Office, a student legal specialist position at the New York City Law Department, and a position at a Manhattan private litigation firm. He was also selected to work on cases at Cardozo’s highly regarded Innocence Project, devoted to exonerating the wrongly convicted through DNA evidence.
After receiving his Juris Doctor degree, Scott was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York. During his tenure under District Attorney Charles J. Hynes, Scott quickly advanced from his first assignments in Criminal Court and Brooklyn’s renowned Domestic Violence Bureau, where he handled thousands of misdemeanor cases, to a Felony Trial Bureau. While assigned to a Felony Trial Bureau, Scott presented countless cases to the Grand Jury. Notably, he successfully tried and prosecuted crimes ranging from minor infractions to serious violent felonies.
After leaving the Kings County District Attorney’s office, Scott brought his advocacy skills and passion for litigation to a prominent Manhattan firm focusing on criminal defense and personal injury litigation. He was subsequently recruited by a well known law firm on Long Island, where he continued to hone his skills in criminal law and litigation.
Scott proudly joined with Matthew W. Greenblatt to form The Law Offices of Greenblatt & Agulnick, P.C., where he continues today to zealously fight for his clients throughout New York City and surrounding counties.
